Ariele Alasko

I’m smitten. Ariele Alasko is a genius with wood and I want everything she makes. Do you even see those salad servers? That’s humor mixed with amazing talent.

And this link sculpture- you can feel the passion she has for working with wood – you can’t make something like this without having a deep love for the material you’re working with. I can just see the sandpaper working that wood grain to a smooth finish.

This is my favorite part of her about page:

A few years ago she discovered a great love for carving spoons, and now spends most of her time carving away in walnut, sycamore, cherry, maple, etc.

Yay, spoons!

See more of here work here, and there’s so much more to see.
