Remember my Sharpie Shoes post? Here is a version for the preschool set. After all, they need to be trained in the ways of cool fashion, too.
Actually, they just need to scribble sometimes, and they are so adorably proud of wearing their creations.
I picked up a metallic Sharpie paint marker, sat Beckett next to an open window (paint fumes), and let him go to town on his fake Crocs. We got these from Target, and he wears them at his preschool class- they have a ‘no outdoor shoes’ policy.
Amazon sells Crocs, too- I wonder how the metallic would look on red Crocs? Probably cute.
I decided to buy the paint marker instead of the regular Sharpie metallic markers, because I assumed it would stay on the shoes better.
Of course, they sell little kid-sized Converse as well, if you’d rather go the sneaker route. I love these natural-colored pull-on Converse on Amazon.

I picked up some glitter fabric paint pens at either Walmart or Hobby Lobby that work wonderfully on the canvas shoes. They also worked really well creating a Jack Frost (Rise of the Guardians) costume for my niece for an Anime Convention. 🙂
Oooh, glitter fabric paint pens sound fun. I’m definitely going to have to score some of those. The costume sounds awesome! Post a pic on my Facebook wall if you want to share; I’d love to see it.
Love it! I do a shoe painting lesson with teens every summer…gonna add the markers to list of supplies. Thanks!
Excellent! What are you using now? Fabric paint?
Wow, who doesn’t want to draw on shoes? What fun!
Thanks for the fun idea!
ARe you going to break out the markers on your own shoes now?!
I love your Sharpie projects! Glad the preschoolers are not left out!
Preschoolers sure do love those Sharpies- me too. I can’t stay away from Sharpie projects.
These are awesome! I love how nicely the colors showed up!
I just love metallic Sharpies for that reason- they pop!
