Artist Spotlight: Illustrator Bene Rohlmann

I love this graphic designy/hand printed/zine/concert poster sort of illustration by German artist Bene Rohlmann.

I’m always surprised when looking at illustrator’s work out of context, at how surreal it seems. Half the time when you see illustrations on magazines or wherever, you don’t really take the time to fully absorb the art. But when you look at the work of super talented illustrators apart from words, you can absolutely immerse yourself in whatever story they’re helping to tell, and it doesn’t matter if it’s the actual story or not. Isn’t this what makes any sort of art so effective?

Anyway, take a look at these pieces, then find the link to Bene’s website and Behance below, so you can see even more of his art.
