Artist Spotlight: Alysha Chua

You! Guys! Are! Going! To! Love! This! Artist!

I feel like I’m giving you an early Christmas present, because I found her on Instagram – can’t remember how; probably stalking followers or followees of some other artist, and fell immediately in love with her amazing little drawings.

She lives in Sydney. This is all I know about her. Except that also she is an animator, she likes drawing on square paper, she is in possession of an orangey-wood background, and maybe most importantly, she starts AND FINISHES drawing challenges.

I’m officially impressed. This honestly shows a lot of bravery as an artist. Inevitably it is all about putting in the time, making yourself show up, and doing the work. Then you release it out into the world no matter who will see it or what they will think.

Ooh, I could so easily go into a long boring diatribe about being a brave little artist, but I’ll button my lip and show you the art. (Read this book, though)
