Recap of the Artchoo Week

Hey! I had a very bloggy-learning week, and it continues this week. I’m deep into my Content Brew class from Melissa at Momcomm.com, and it’s fabulous. So many incredibly great tips and organization techniques. I feel like I have more control over my blog, and as I work all this stuff into my repertoire, it will feel a lot less overwhelming. That’s a good thing.

I am also jumping on into an SEO class with Vanita from After Bedtime Blog. For those of you who don’t know, SEO is all about getting you on the front few pages of Google if someone does a search for something you blog about. For instance, I would certainly like to be on the front page if someone Googled kids’ art projects, or kids’ design, because that would be extra super double awesomely amazing.

So what else….. besides failing miserably at potty training, not a lot is going on here, except adjusting to the new school schedule. Fantastic.

In case you missed my posts, I kicked off the week writing about Lisbeth Zwerger, and I received a very nice email from Sandy Soderberg, the Marketing Manager at the Eric Carle Museum in Amherst, MA. Check out their Making Art with Children blog.

I guest posted over at Scoutie Girl, where I wrote about how having kids killed my art career (which was a good thing.)

We tie dyed napkins to bring in for school lunches, made a toddler t-shirt, and learned interesting things about Caldecott Medals.
