Various things have been going around here- nothing worthy of shrieking or running out of the house without any pants, but sometimes it’s fun to share little tidbits. You know- intimate, behind the scenes glimpses into the wonder that is the Craftwhack household.

lemonade stand

A completely un-Martha-worthy lemonade stand on St. Patrick’s Day netted Fen and friend $11 in cold, hard cash. Please refrain from laughing at friend’s giant blue ear. She’s a little sensitive about it.

new red glasses

I got new glasses. You can’t tell here, but they are red, dammit. I think they may be a little dark for me, but Christian says I’m just not used to them yet. You can also see here that my hair is growing out painfully slowly and awkwardly, and I am in dire need of a good old-fashioned teeth whitening.

Beckett with football

Bex has been sporting this squinty-eyed grin lately. I’m gonna go ahead and bleach his teeth, too and buy him giant dark red glasses so we can be totally awesome together.

onion skin

Here is my art shot of an onion skin. Read into it what you will; it embodies everything you are thinking right now.

1970 Porsche 911

Christian brought his beloved car home from his parent’s garage. He bought this about 8 years ago and I make him keep it because it’s a total dude magnet.

exploded diet coke can

Oh my goodness! look what just happened about 1/2 hour ago. I heard what sounded like a gunshot and jumped out of my freaking skin. It took me about 3 1/2 minutes of looking around the kitchen before it dawned on me what the noise was, and I opened the freezer to find this little surprise. Christian and the stepnerds enjoy keeping their Diet Cokes in there so they remain freezy and slushy. They almost have it perfected how long to let them remain in the freezer. Almost.

Shorts on St Paddy's Day – we are getting really warm weather too. Right from winter to summer.

You and your son are twins! I think that length hair is cute, LOVE your glasses they look great (I can never find cool glasses that suit me), & not going to show my husband that car. It might turn him off his minivan.

    You are very pretty.

  3. 03/21/2012 / 2:25 pm

Yep- it's been in the 80's here. Thanks for the glasses opinion; maybe I just need to get used to them!

You are way too kind. I cringed when I looked at this photo, but I added it in the name of blogging openness.

I know that exploding sound. My husband puts Dr Pepper in the freeze, hence why there is Dr Pepper frozen all over the walls.

    And random is good. 🙂

I bet the exploded Dr. Pepper smells delightful!

You are so perceptive to the ways of my artistic expressions.

Love the glasses and your boy's squinty-eyed grin!

That onion skin totally reminds me of the meaning of life. You know, the way it's so tragically fragile. And of course, the way it tapers at the end is reminiscent of how life seems to accelerate and simultaneously slow down as you get older and near the end… how it becomes even more tragically fragile…

(I've been to college. Can you tell?)

Love the glasses on you! And you and Bex are already like twins. So cute.

Love the exploding Coke can, but I hate to see Diet Coke get wasted, no matter how it happens! hehe

The squinty-eyed grin is phenomenal. As is the giant blue ear (sorry to mention it, I know she's sensitive..)
