It’s no secret I’m a napoholic. Give me a good bed and my big puffy yellow comforter, and I’m out like a light.

Naps are the peanut butter in my sandwich of a day- they help the morning’s work ease me into the afternoon’s after school chaos. They give me a little bit of unconscious respite from my monkey mind and force me to chill out on the multi tasking for a bit.

Christian and I got our last mattress 16 years ago- when we were first married. We’ve enjoyed that slab of springs and gaudy flowery fabric, but there was a terrible problem with it. It had a horrible dip in the side of it where it sagged, and I felt like I would roll off the bed to my untimely death numerous times.

Luckily we got a new mattress before that happened, and that mattress is….. The Dream Bed™. It’s dreamy. It’s a bed. It’s aptly named. Plus they donate a mattress to someone in need for every mattress purchased. A socially responsible mattress company!

It was delivered by a couple a fellas one day (free delivery 2 days after you order), and it came in a big rectangular box that was NOT the size of a mattress, so I was a little bit suspicious. After they left, I kicked the box a few times to make sure there wasn’t a clown in there ready to jump out and kill me, but it seemed legit.

The next day, Christian and I replaced our old mattress with this piece of cloudy fabulousness and we made a little video to show you. Please save your applause for the end.

See how easy it is to get out of the box and unfold? Then you just leave it on your bed to expand back up to regular puffiness. Then you test it out by napping on it, which is precisely what I did.

I have to admit, I was a little nervous about whether or not we’d like memory foam, but it’s nice and firm and super-comfortable. I have no idea why, but I like the idea of not sleeping on springs.

The very coolest thing about The Dream Bed is that for every mattress purchased, they donate a mattress to someone in need. They’ve donated over 100 mattresses already (they’re a new company since 2 months ago!) How freaking cool is that? I’ll answer for you: very cool. Fonzie cool.

Side note: Isn’t this haircut on the model on their site really cute?

They make it easy to order their mattresses. For those of you who want to test one out first, you can visit them at any Mattress Firm location, or you can just order online. After you receive your mattress, if you don’t like it within 180 sleeps, you can get a full refund. (This is because they know you will like it, duh.)

Look for your selfless stick (selfie stick) in the box when your mattress arrives, and you can snap a pic of you lolling about on your mattress. Read more about The Dream Bed here!

Oooh! Is your mattress super firm? We just got a new mattress one year ago and it’s too soft already! There’s a valley in the middle. We need a new really firm mattress pronto!

It IS firm! It makes me so happy; I was nervous that it would be too sinky-inny and soft, but we both are loving it. I can’t believe your year-old mattress is too soft already. That’s terrible!
