Everybody Burns Out.

Sometimes we all burn out from something we once loved. I have been blogging for 8 years, and what started as something fun for me slowly turned into a source of confusion and frustration.

You see, I’ve been trying to cram too many ideas and blog styles into my poor little blog and it has caused me to lose my focus.

Apparently I like to hold onto things for dear life, because those of you who have been following me for a while here will recall the embarrassing number of times that I changed my blog’s name and url.

Sometimes when one keeps changing the name of one’s blog, someone subconsciously needs to change more than the name of one’s blog.

Do you hear me?

Here’s my news: I’m putting Craftwhack on the back burner for a while and focusing all of my attention on a new blog: Art┬áMakes People.

You guys, I am so damn excited about this I am going to burst. But it may not be for all of you – in this blog I will be featuring remarkable contemporary artists and makers.

I want to say I’m sad to be leaving this chapter behind, but truth is, I’ve been struggling with what to do with Craftwhack for so long that this feels like a great relief.

I appreciate you all so much, and I love chatting and sharing creative coolness with you, so please go click all over my social media buttons if you want to follow over there, otherwise I’ll still occasionally be posting here, but it will be more writing and ridiculousness and probably no more art projects as I focus on making my own art.

Hugs and kisses,
Jeanette

Omg! Totally! I’ve just quit blogging in hopes that some “aha!” moment will come to me and I will know for sure where I’m going. Great to hear that it’s not only my struggle.

Good luck with your new project! I will follow you there too!

Thanks Mylana! It feels good to shift gears and get away from something if it isn’t working anymore. I hope you get your aha moment loud and clear.
