Make lice preventative spray - so easy!

You may think I’m obsessed with lice, based on my previous post, but really once you’ve gone through the hours and days of combing, spraying, smothering, snipping, washing, shivers, and tears that accompany lice, you never want to return to that dark, dark place again.

Thus, the DIY lice spray to prevent your kids from getting those horrific little creatures in the first place.

It’s easy! It’s smell-o-riffic! Lice hate it!

Step one: Fill the bottle with distilled water.

Step two: Add about 25 drops tea tree oil, and about 100 drops each of rosemary and peppermint oils. It’s hard to count the drops when you’re spastically shaking them out of the bottle like I do, so approximate. Also, you can obviously use less oil in if you want it less smelly.

I do fewer drops of tea tree oil because it is POTENT. This stuff smells so wonderful, I actually spray it around the house sometimes, too. And on myself. I sort of overdid it spraying Beckett’s hair the first time, so he looked like a drowned rat. But that didn’t stop him from hamming it up.

Beckett is adorable! I’m glad the lice will stay away! I need this for ticks too!
