I’m taking a sabbatical. I’m whooped. I’ve put myself through the blogging ringer for the past 2 years, and only bloggers (and their poor significant others) will understand that statement. We bloggers can be so hard on ourselves and work crazy amounts of hours, burning ourselves out and ignoring our families and friends until we implode in a loud, messy, terribly smelly manner. Blogger implosion is not something anyone should have to witness.
Here’s what I’m doing. Do you want to know? I am not posting new posts for August, but I AM posting some of my favorite reruns from years gone by. Holy shit. I just looked back at my archives and I began blogging at the very end of December in 2007 with this gem. How did that even happen?
I’m moving my Artchoo blog over here. Rather, I’m going to find someone to throw money at to point those posts over to Tiny Rotten Peanuts, so I don’t lose all the awesome traffic I get from Pinterest and Google links. I’m going to embrace all of my personality under the roof of one blog, and you will never know what you are going to get from one day to the next. It will be the most nicheless, random, chaotic blog you’ve ever seen. Everything we are taught not to do as bloggers, and I am so excited!
So in real life, I will be still working behind the scenes on my blog for the month of August.
I’ll also be annoying my children by overscheduling our days with fun activities and together time. I’ll be staring at them a lot and spontaneously bursting into sloppy tears as I babble on about school starting soon for both of them. Maybe we’ll eat Slushies.
In the meantime, I will still be chillin’ on social media. If you’re feeling social, come like my Facebook page and we can chat about things like: how much I like to nap, what you eat for breakfast typically, or hipsters on leashes. Did you see that? It’s silly.
