Oh my goodness. When I started this site, I compiled a list of basic art materials for kids, but I wasn’t really happy with it. Redo!

I would like to present my brand new, better-than-ever…

List of Art Materials for Kids!

Please go check it out and if I left out something glaringly obvious, let me know. Actually, come to think of it, what are your favorite art supplies in your house that you couldn’t even imagine living without?

For us, clear tape would be impossible to live without. Fen has a creative love relationship with clear tape that has led to many strange sculptures and collages. I guess I wouldn’t consider it a basic, but it’s definitely one of those staples for us.

Liked the original but really like the format of the redo! I shared it on our Kid’s page at the library where I work.

Oh! And to add one that we LOVE here in this house: “Do A Dot” art paint/markers. They are non-toxic, can be used in different ways, and are very toddler friendly but my husband and I like using them as well. http://www.dotart.com/

Thanks Krista! Oh, I should add those dotty markers on. We love them, too. I was going to say how awesome they were because they’re not messy, but Beckett likes to dot them all over himself.
